SAO KIM - 6881 DWT TWEEN DECKER BUILT JAPAN 1991
Please note that the Japanese built tween deck cargo vessel '' SAO KIM
'' is owned by the HAIPHONG MARITIME UNIVERSITY and has been used as
a cadet training vessel for some time.
The University have decided that it really is not economical to
operate the vessel any more so she is presently laid up alongside in
Pharung Shipyard near Haiphong with a crew of some 8 / 10 persons.
During the week Cadets from the University go on board and carry out
cleaning and maintenance.
The Generators are run in the daytime Monday through Friday.
The vessel is fully in class and can sail at any time.
The vessel really is exceptionally clean in the accommodation area
and public spaces.
Owners ideas were USD 1.2 million however we would certainly try less
with delivery alongside the Shipyard Berth where she can easily be
inspected.
The attached photographs are some of those taken last Friday.
